fEES and conditions

Consultations:

​

Our Clinicians provide 1:1 consultations face-to-face and via Telehealth (Phone and Video). Consultations will be for approximately 50 minutes. Appointments will be confirmed with you and if the appointment is through video, a link will be sent to your designated email prior to the appointment.

​Fees:

​

Courageous Minds aims to provide quality mental health to adolescents and adults experiencing difficulties with their mental illness. We provide services to people that are:

​

Self-funded (Private paying) 

  • Individual     $200 per 50-minute session

  • Couples       $300 per 50-minute session

  • Family          $300 per 50-minute session​

​

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

​With a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plan and have adequate funding for 1:1 individual counselling under capacity building.

  • This fee is $193.99 per 50-minute session. 

​

Medicare

If you are eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan, available from your GP, you may be able to access a Medicare rebate of $85.20 (for a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year). Please note, the standard session is $200 per 50 minute appointment as such a gap fee of $114.85 will apply.  

​

Please note that Offending behavior including family violence, Anger Management, Family and Relationship Issues/Relationship Counselling are not covered by the Better Outcomes for Mental Health scheme unless these problems are caused by or linked to a psychological condition. To treat such issues is a breach of Medicare and clinicians may face penalties or loss of Medicare registration.

Concession Rates

As part of our mission to provide services to those in rural and remote areas we also offer a concession rate for client's who hold a current Health Care Card.

  • Individual           $150 per 50 minute session

  • Couples             $200 per 50 minute session

  • Families             $200 per 50 minute session

Note: Due to reduced rate for sessions limited places are available at any one time.

Bulk Billing

Courageous Minds also offers bulk billing for clients in special or extreme situations. 

Note: due to the reduced rate for sessions and bulk billing criteria for Medicare there are limited places available and conditions apply.

Forensic Interventions

For clients wishing to address their offending behavior (general, sexual, violent, family violence) as part of an order or court conditions 

  • Individual                                       $300 per 50 minute session (typically minimum 8 sessions) treatment length will vary depending on nature of offending and complexity

  • Group                                            $200 per 120 minute session (typically 10 week program 1 session per week)

Note: Forensic clients can address their mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, PTSD or ADHD for example) of the order through the general services with Courageous minds and use the rebate via Medicare if they have a current Mental health care plan from their GP. see above

​Travel 

For all NDIS appointments outside of the clinic a travel fee will be charged at the hourly fee of $193.99 – charged per minute ($3.23 per minute), however, claimable travel is capped at 30 minutes each way, with a maximum 60-minute travel time both ways.

​

Travel for appointments outside of the clinic not funded under NDIS will be charged a travel fee at the hourly fee of $200.00 – charged per minute ($3.33 per minute). 

Eg. 30 minutes total travel time to and from location ($3.33 x 30 mins = $99.90 travel costs)

On the day of your consultation, your nominated payment option will be charged at 9am unless you have cancelled/postponed your appointment. See below for conditions regarding cancellations. Payments may state "Halaxy" on your bank statement. We use Halaxy for our Practice Management Software so you can rest assured that your data and payment details are managed safely, securely and responsibly.

Cancellations:
 

If for some reason you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please give at least 48 hours’ notice by contacting us on info@courageousminds.com.au or via phone on 0468335596. The full fee applies if notice is not provided within 48 hours of the appointment. 

​

Payments:

​

Payment can be completed online through our online booking system or alternatively cash or Easy Tap contactless payment is available on the day of appointment. 

​

Referrals:

​

Referrals can be made by yourself, through your GP or other professionals. Referrals will be reviewed by our team and the outcome of referral will be communicated with the referrer. In receiving a referral, you may be contacted to discuss your circumstances and the support you are looking for. This is completed to ensure that you receive appropriate treatment and support tailored to your individual circumstances.

Within the first session, an overview of what it is that you hope to achieve will be established. Sessions will be scheduled depending on the services and the outcomes you want to achieve.

​

  • Comprehensive Psychosocial Assessment reports

  • Forensic reports 

  • ​Treatment reports

  • Letters of service/attendance or participation 

​

All reports begin at $500 however fees will vary depending on treatment length and complexity
